Q3 Go-to-Market Sync

This cross-functional sync aligned product, marketing, and sales on the Q3 launch of the Teams plan. We locked the launch date, agreed on a pricing experiment, and named a single accountable owner for every workstream so nothing slips in the three weeks before ship.

Key points

  • Launch date locked for September 9
  • Two-tier pricing test ($12 / $18) on new signups only
  • SSO and audit logs are a two-week fast-follow
  • $1.2M Q3 pipeline, 34% trial-to-paid target

Day one focuses on the collaboration surface that unblocks teams; anything not strictly required to onboard a team is deferred so we can hold the date.

Pricing test

We agreed to run the test on new signups only, so existing accounts stay stable and the numbers stay clean. Sales keeps a single negotiated price for enterprise so the experiment doesn’t muddy those conversations.

Decision

Launch date locked: September 9. The pricing test runs on new signups only. We reconvene in two weeks to read the first cohort before migrating existing accounts.

Next steps

  1. Freeze scope and start eng freeze Sep 2
  2. Ship the two-tier pricing test
  3. Brief sales on the enterprise motion
  4. Read the first cohort in two weeks

From meeting to notes.

  1. Catch the meeting from the start.

    • A reminder when you need it. Memo detects meetings on Mac. Record from the notch, or use the menu bar and a floating notification.
    • Start with a click, or automatically. Enable automatic recording to let Memo start when it detects a meeting. No bot joins the call.
  2. Finish with a clear summary.

    • Stop when the conversation ends. Press stop, or enable automatic stopping when the call ends.
    • A note you can actually scan. Memo transcribes the meeting and creates a structured note, with a beautifully formatted summary of key points and action items at the top.
    • Know who said what. Label the detected speakers. Memo remembers them for future recordings.
  3. Review it. Put it to work.

    • Go back to the source. Read the original transcript, or listen back if you choose to keep the audio.
    • Ask a follow-up question. Use AI chat to find answers and explore the details of your meeting.
    • Take the next step in NotePlan. Send the finished note to NotePlan and turn the discussion into a plan.

What does Memo do with a recording?

Memo transcribes it, turns it into a structured note, and brings out key points and action items. You can keep the full transcript, ask follow-up questions, and choose how you want the note formatted.

Can I record online meetings on Mac?

Yes. Memo for Mac captures your microphone and meeting audio directly, without adding a bot to the call. You stay in control of when recording starts and stops. Let the other participants know when you record.

Does Memo work offline?

You can record and read saved notes offline. Transcription, AI summaries, and chat need an internet connection.

Where are my notes and recordings stored?

Notes are stored on your device and can sync through your iCloud account. You choose whether to keep audio recordings for playback. Transcription and other AI features use cloud processing.

Is Memo part of NotePlan?

Memo is a separate app from the team behind NotePlan. It is made for capturing ideas and conversations by voice. You can send finished notes to NotePlan when it is time to plan your next steps.
